  Is Professor of Pediatrics and Director of the Children’s Hospital of Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, which has been a reference centre for primary immunodeficiencies in Brazil since early eighties. Her main fields of interest are autoimmune manifestations of primary immunodeficiencies, and immunodeficiencies of immaturity. She was the guest editor of a supplement of The Journal of Clinical Immunology dedicated to “Autoimmunity in Primary Immunodeficiencies” (vol 28, 2008), and currently coordinates a research project named “Early-onset autoimmunity”, sponsored by Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP). Since 1984, she has supervised 26 PhD students, and published 100 papers in international journals.
